Marketing Leader - Commercial Electrical Contractors

Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening on the commercial side of our business for a Marketing Leader  responsible for creating demand and building loyalty with the Commercial Electrical Contractor community.  In this role, you will be a critical part of the Commercial business marketing team.  Your ability to think strategically combined with your "get it done" attitude and ability to forge strong working relationships across the sales, business, and communications teams will result in impactful marketing plans that drive increased brand loyalty and ultimately increased sales through this highly important customer segment.    

Contributions & Responsibilities:

  • Develop an underlying segmentation and in-depth understanding of what segments to target and how  
  • Gain deep insights into the target personas' wants, needs, and motivations. 
  • Own the development of marketing plans and targeted campaigns from concept through to successful execution, lead generation and follow-through by sales teams
  • ​Develop effective and creative strategies to accelerate adoption of Lutron solutions to existing and new customer targets 
  • Work collaboratively with Lutron's Product Management and Sales teams to help launch new products to the target segments ensuring rapid awareness, adoption, and sales. 
  • Ensure Sales Force effectiveness via close collaboration and follow-through on lead-gen campaigns and development of hard-hitting sales enablement tools
  • Establish a hard-hitting content and story calendar that will engage the contractor community and pull them into the marketing funnel.    
  • Work collaboratively with Lutron's in-house creative team to develop effective content, marketing materials, and digital tools to support campaigns
  • Interface directly with our external PR and social media agencies to develop and execute owned, earned, and paid media strategies
  • Own and manage the marketing budget associated with this customer segment to maximize effectiveness of investment.   
  • Present business cases, proposals, plans, performance, successes and challenges to executive team.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent 
  • 6+ years of progressive B-to-B marketing experience with demonstrated success with marketing and campaign plan development and execution
  • Experience marketing a technical product or system to technical and non-technical audiences.  
  • Experience working with the Commercial Electrical Contractor and AEC Community, Commercial Building Systems, and Lighting industry is a plus.  
  • ​Exceptional communication, project management, and relationship building skills with demonstrated success working effectively with product management, sales, and in- and out-of-house agencies
  • Strong experience with digital marketing
  • Willingness to travel 20% of the time, post COVID-19 restrictions
