Supply Chain Engineer-3-5 yrs of experience Austin, TX

 

Supply Chain Engineer is a key member of Ketra-Lutron’s global operations team and has a direct impact on company’s important metrics of meeting customer expectations of on-time delivery and total cost of supply chain  

  • Work with cross functional internal teams such as product managers, sales, engineering and marketing to create Sales and Operations Planning forecast that meets the business goals. Create and use analytical models and statistical analytical tools to achieve high accuracy in forecasting
  • Deploy forecast to create production and demand plans that are centered around factories process capabilities and capacities
  • Instigate, design and develop supply chain strategies for inventory and logistics optimization to increase responsiveness, to manage and mitigate risks while reducing the total cost
  • Implement and maintain ERP/SAP system settings to execute supply chain strategies. Apply strong understanding about functioning of Material Requirements Planning (MRP). Maintain data integrity to drive correct and timely requirements
  • Develop relationships by working closely with supplier to successfully meet supply chain goals
  • Lead coordination of multi-disciplinary teams starting with customer service, quotations, materials management, manufacturing, distribution centers and supplier quality to understand cross functional business process requirements. Also, work closely with global logistics team to understand compliance requirements
  • Drive improvements to reduce lead time in launching products from concept to production
  • Determine Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and create comprehensive dashboards to monitor the progress and effectively communicate with senior leadership
  • Identify and recommend integrated supply chain-Information Technology solutions
  • Drive Continuous Process Improvement projects and lead the change to increase productivity and agility in the entire supply chain using Lean, Six Sigma and Quick Response (QRM) strategies

 

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Supply Chain, or related discipline) with at least a 3.2 GPA
  • 3-5 years of experience in supply chain/operations/manufacturing environment
  • 1 year of experience with ERP/SAP
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%

 

Preferred qualifications and skills

  • MBA/MS in engineering, (Industrial, Supply Chain, or related discipline) 
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Cognos and Vista
  • 1 year of experience with ERP- E1 Oracle
  • 3 years of experience in supply chain/operations/manufacturing environment. Exposure to stock and flow as well as build to order environments. Advance knowledge of Lean, SixSigma and QRM principles
  • Demonstrated strong sense of urgency and ownership to work across boundaries of internal functions, levels as well as external partners
  • Ability to self-motivate, strong determination, organized and adaptability
  • Critical thinking to find root causes and instigate systemic solutions
  • Excellent problem solving skills, strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
