Electrical Engineering Specification Sales Representative

Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening for a full time Sales Representative. In this position, you will contribute to Lutron's Electrical Engineering specification sales efforts in New York with a focus on generating code compliant commercial opportunities of all sizes and in varied verticals.
You will also work closely with the Specification Team, Area Closing team and the Rep in New York to surround jobs and to ensure that Lutron is the light, shade, and temperature controls solution of choice.
You will create sales plans to develop specification accounts, project opportunities, and generate sales for Lutron solutions in commercial projects. You will be responsible for managing your pipeline from specification to close.
We're looking for someone with the following background:
Bachelors of Engineering degree or equivalent technical background
3+ Years of work experience in the building industry or sales
Technical knowledge of electrical and lighting codes and building system design
Interest and ability to work in a team environment
Outstanding organization and time management skills
Expert interpersonal and presentation skills - at all levels of an organization
