Developer Specification Sales – London  

Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening for a Developer/Main Contractor Specification Sales. In this position, you would be key part of the London Specification team, helping to drive a growing business. You will be required to educate developers, fit-out and main contractors on Lutron product benefits and our world-class customer support services.

A successful Developer Specification Salesperson will have the following:

Responsibilities

  1. Develop new customer relationships and business opportunities
  2. Close lighting controls and window systems projects through technical expertise and a high level of customer service
  3. Surround project specifications through effective communication with team members, and other specifying or end user influencers. 
  4. Represent Lutron at Industry trade organizations
  5. Become a technical expert on Lutron products for our customers
  6. To maintain all information/account records and opportunities on Salesforce.com (SFDC)
  7. Manage administration in a timely manner – sales expenses, sales forecasts, call reports, etc
  8. Stay aligned to Lutron’s culture and values:

Qualifications:

  1. 5 to 15 years experience in the lighting, AV or related industry
  2. Engineering degree prefer
  3. Experience solving complex problems within a team environment
  4. Demonstrated ability to learn technical products, their benefits, and specifications
  5. Ability to communicate with a variety of customer types
  6. Proven sales track record, and experience of account management
  7. Ability to instigate and foster a B2B relationship and help those customers to build their business through consultative selling
  8. Good communication and presentation skills
  9. Computer literate and technically competent
  10. Proficiency in IT skills (eg Salesforce.com)
  11. Desire to work as part of a dynamic team and develop a career with an ambitious company
