As a Data Engineer at Lutron you will: 

  • Explore & evaluate the technological solutions to meet the business needs
  • Create & maintain analytics infrastructure such as databases and large scale processing systems
  • Develop data platform, pipelines, oversee the platform maintenance and support
  • Develop prototypes, operationalize and productionize them
  • Create dataset process for modelling, mining, acquisition and verification.
  • Constantly improve data quality at scale by leveraging data analytics systems
  • Work closely with data scientists and business analysts at all phases of development - concept, build, validate, roll-out

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Computer Science Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Knowledge of data processing technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive etc.
  • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL database systems such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB or CosmosDB
  • Adept at communicating verbally & visually within and outside the team
  • Familiarity with tools and components of data architecture
