Job Description

Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening for an Experience Center Representative at our new Residential Experience Center in New York, NY. In this position, you will be a key part of the Experience Center team and local New York sales team.

  • Support our customers at the new, New York Residential Experience Center to ensure a best-in-class Experience. Work closely with the center manager to support the day-to-day operations of the Experience Center and training facility.
  • Help plan and coordinate customer visits, training and special events
  • Help coordinate Experience Center and Training calendars and new project leads in SalesForce.com
  • Work closely with the Experience Center manager and the local sales force to follow up on new project opportunities that have been generated by the center
  • Work closely with center manager to identify and plan activities that will drive new customers into our center
  • Provide backup support for center manager to show, tell and sell Lutron solution and how our solutions help the lives of our customers when he is not available
  • Respond to general email in-box for center
  • Developmental assignment with opportunity for growth into Experience Center leader or sales (18 – 24 months)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 0-5years’ work experience
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Strong customer-facing skills, ability to present in front of groups, engage in
  • dialogue and customize approach to meet a customer’s unique communications
  • and experience needs
  • Leadership skills – someone who regularly goes above and beyond to make things better
  • Highly organized; must be detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to
  • successfully juggle multiple projects
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills – MS office suite; Salesforce.com experience is a plus
  • Ability to take a leadership role in day-to-day projects
  • Experience with hospitality or retail industry desired
  • Additional language skills (Spanish or Portuguese) a plus
  • Up to 25% travel
