Job Description

Channel Program Leader will:

  • Provide strategic direction and execution in targeting and maintaining contact with electrical contractors who purchase in the Electrical Distribution, with a specific focus on commercial contractors designing, commissioning, and selling Lutron Products

  • Develop and launch the Lutron Commercial Wireless Partner (CWP) program to targeted commercial contractors, collaborate with Lutron internal teams to then expand the program to a broader range of contractors, and work with those contractors to develop materials needed to help them grow their business with Lutron

  • Build and be personally engaged with the community of commercial contractors who reinforce and grow their ability to take control of lighting control design, commissioning, and selling.

  • Test in market progress; modify and adjust the program based on lessons learned from program participants

  • Develop core campaign messaging that effectively communicates the Lutron story to Electrical Contractors and ensure these messages are effectively executed across campaign projects

  • Work with the Electrical Distribution and Marketing Communications teams to improve the positioning and success of T-promotions and other communications to electrical contractors

  • Manage the CWP program and communications budget

  • Work with the CWP and Pro Operations leader to improve CWP program sign ups, app experience, and program administration

  • Collaborate with the Business Excellence team to improve the ability of the MyBusiness Community for Reps and the Lutron sales team to track and manage CWPs

  • Utilize the NECA trade show to better connect with commercial contractors and build the CWP community

  • Develop Commercial Electrical Contractor campaigns and plans to grow leads

  • Collaborate with Product Managers to launch new commercial products more effectively to commercial electrical contractors

  • Collaborate with the Lutron Pro Brand Manager to ensure that communications materials reflect the needs of the PRO’s purchasing through electrical distribution

  • Improve Commercial Wireless training materials to better communicate the Lutron value proposition to commercial contractors.

  • Develop tools to measure the effectiveness of EC marketing efforts that identify what strategies and tactics are successful and how we can improve them

  • Provide best practice suggestions, lessons learned and improvements for future events

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree with GPA of 3.0 or above, a marketing focus is a plus

  • Knowledge of and experience with the commercial and residential lighting business, especially electrical distribution and electrical contractors

  • Experience developing and executing effective marketing communications campaigns

  • Experience selling and marketing products or technology to electrical contractors

  • SalesForce.com or Pardot experience is a plus

  • Strong, proactive communication and presentation skills 

  • Strong combination of technical and marketing acumen

  • Ability to work across an organization to build consensus, and drive projects whilst managing ambiguity

  • Strong sense of urgency with project management and multi-tasking skills 

Ability to develop strong relationships within and outside of the company (e.g. 3rd party OEM marketing teams)
