Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening within their Supplier Quality Organization.  In this role you will gain a thorough understanding of Lutron’s quality standards and how quality expectations are managed throughout the supply chain.  You will work closely with Procurement, Engineering, Operations, and Corporate Quality to ensure Lutron’s suppliers consistently provide conforming components and assemblies while continually improving quality, cost, and delivery.  Establishing and fostering strong professional relationships is essential to success in this role.

 

The Job Responsibilities:

  • Resolution of supplier related quality issues through formal methods
  • Supplier relationship management
  • Managing alignment between cross-functional stake holders
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and suppliers that result in higher levels of measurable supplier quality
  • Execute new supplier qualification
  • Lead the  identification and development (improvement) of suppliers
  • Perform onsite and remote suppliers audits
  • Developing consultation level relationships with suppliers, positively impacting their operations, quality controls and efficiencies

Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven presentation skills
  • Ability to think on your feet
  • Ability to understand a wide range of engineering discipline issues (electrical, mechanical, manufacturing….)
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to drive issues across organization and at the highest levels of leadership

 

Education & Experience:

  • BS in engineering or other related technical field required
  • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or equivalent experience preferred
  • Six Sigma Green Belt / Quality Credentials preferred
  • Experience in Corporate Engineering work environment a plus
  • Experience with use of Corporate ERP and PLM systems required (Oracle preferred)
  • Global travel experience
