Sales Engineering Development Program:
Our Sales Engineering Development Program is a rigorous, comprehensive and collegial development experience designed to cultivate and prepare the brightest recent graduates for growth and success in a consultative sales engineering/ management career.
Our training is constructed to have you work on a peer team during a 7 month program at the corporate office in Lehigh Valley, PA and in national territories, in the field, with our sales teams and customers. The program consists of classroom training, on-line training and off-site monthly sales initiatives at our commercial and residential, state of the art, experience centers in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Washington DC and Toronto. All Engineering Leadership Development participants are assigned a sales mentor designated to instruct, coach and guide you on Lutron’s customers and business channels.
After successfully completing the program, you will be empowered to grow Lutron’s business by introducing new products and cultivating new customer relationships. You will be assigned to one of the major markets for Commercial, Residential, or Wholesaler Distribution Channels in a major metropolitan city in the US with significant travel within that territory.

Other leadership programs at Lutron are the Innovation Leadership program, Field Service Development Program and the Construction Design Development Program. These programs work collaborative with the Sales Engineering Development Team to build strategic alliances early on in your career.
The Sales Engineering Development Program seeks self-starters who are competitive, organized, results-driven and enthusiastic. We are looking for people who have made an impact and developed their leadership skills. We accept all engineering majors with a 2.8 GPA or above.
