Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening for a Residential Specification Sales Representative

Residential Specification Sales 

In this role, you are responsible for positioning Lutron residential solutions as the basis of design in residential projects inside and outside of your territory (New York City).  You will work on the local level to build strong relationships with interiors architects, developers, lighting designers, and project managers to communicate the value that Lutron can add to luxury residential projects.

Role Definition

Identify and develop local accounts to specifying residential solutions in their projects
Position Lutron as the preferred brand for lighting control and shading solutions and work with developers on how to present the opportunity to future owners
Drive the specification of Lutron residential and shading solutions
Work with local spec team, rep agent, contractors and channel partners to surround and successfully close opportunities.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
10-15 years of residential building industry related selling experience
Experience calling on residential influencers (architects, developers, interior designers)
Excellent communication skills

Experience selling technical or systems oriented products prefered
Demonstrated ability to persuade and negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes or other sales tracking software, a plus
Willingness to travel 20% of the time, sometimes with little or no notice.
