What you will do at Lutron

  • Use your excellent communication skills to engage cross functional teams while solving complex problems with skill, enthusiasm, and creativity
  • Deliver top-quality software/hardware to the end user by working closely with a team of highly skilled and passionate engineering professionals
  • Collaborate everyday with your team near and far: participate in software review meetings (architecture, design, code, etc.), pair programming, estimate features for the next release, demo the latest features to key stakeholders
  • Achieve your own successes and grow your skills: implement software based on vetted architecture and design documents, incorporate updated graphics from the design team into your app, prepare your application for a functional review, run bench tests, update unit tests and write new ones
  • Learn more from your customers: observe a user research interview run by a UX engineer, staff an industry trade show, work with our tech support team to solve unique field issues, teach a course on our system design and programming software

If so, Lutron is looking for candidates with the following criteria:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering (or a related major) with at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Strong understanding of object oriented design concepts using modern C++/C#/Java like languages, design patterns, database architecture, network programming, mobile app development,
  • Familiarity with GUI development, Human Computer Interaction concepts
  • Ability to learn the design of distributed systems and development for the IoT (internet of things) quickly
  • Willingness to travel – go to headquarters to touch base with team members and conduct reviews , visit and troubleshoot job sites, take offsite training courses, showcase your new product to a customer
  • Ability to take direction from others while also being able to work independently
  • Self-starting, inquisitive, flexible, multi-tasking, hands-on attitude and strong work ethic
